There was a wait at both check in and check out, they needed more staff on shift. The bar closed quite early. The bathroom was very small, and the water wasn't that hot.

This hostel is right next to the train station so it’s very convenient for travel. The area is a little chaotic but very typical for areas around train stations. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, and the facilities were decent. Was able to utilize the laundry room and the bar area. The bathroom was super tiny and smelled a bit like sewage but totally fine for a night or two. There is a popular shopping area nearby and we were able to visit the Christmas markets.

The hostel is located very conveniently near the main train station. We had a quadruple private room, which had 2 bunk beds and a small bathroom. The shower was tiny and the room was small. The beds were surprisingly comfortable with all bedding included. It was fine for 1 night as we were passing through Hamburg, but I would not recommend it for a family for longer than that. Things to note - Towels are not included and cost EU5 ea to hire. You can store luggage in their lockers, which take coins only and was EU4 for 6hrs.

Convenient but had some issues

My stay was alright. I would probably stay here again because the location was super convenient and the beds were comfortable, but there were a few things that definitely bothered me. For starters, the window in the room was locked and all six of us had a hard time sleeping because of the humidity. We told reception about it, but the second time, they said they didn’t have a key and couldn’t do anything. We found a fan in the corner of the room and put it on the highest setting, but it didn’t help since there was nowhere for the hot air to go. The next day, housekeeping came in and unlocked it after they walked in and immediately noticed how hot the room was. Another thing was I stayed for three nights, and I’m pretty sure the shower was only cleaned one time. It wouldn’t have bothered me as much if I had room to shower and not brush up against the walls any time I moved. However, the shower and the toilet were both tiny, like portable units they just set in the room? They do have a single communal bathroom on each floor with a larger shower (which they don’t tell you about), but I had to use one on a different floor because mine was closed for construction. Also this is minor, but they definitely don’t update their event posters hanging outside the elevators on the ground floor (just around the corner from reception). Don’t expect there to be any events or specials in the bar as advertised because none of the staff had any clue what I meant when I asked about the poser.

Das Hotel ist super verkehrsgünstig gelegen in der Bahnhofsgegend mit Spielhallen, Wettbüros, Sexshops und Imbissen. Es ist ein quirliges Hostel. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es eine einfache Bar, einen Geldautomaten, einen Snack- und Getränkeautomaten und große Schließfächer. Als ich da war, fanden Renovierungsarbeiten statt, so dass man zeitweise nicht zum Aufzug gelangen konnte. Mein Zimmer war sauber und hatte 5 Lampen, so dass man die Beleuchtung gut an die persönlichen Bedürfnisse anpassen konnte. Es gab 4 Bügel und eine kleine Kleiderstange, einen kleinen Schreibtisch, einen Stuhl und einen Hocker. Das Wasser lief nicht ab, was auf Nachfrage aber sofort behoben wurde. Das Haus ist extrem hellhörig und die dünnen Wände übertragen Schwingungen extrem. Mein Zimmer hatte Ausblick in einen dunklen Innenhof. Persönlich fand ich unbequem, dass das Bett kein Kopfteil hatte und auch mit dem Kopfende nicht an der Wand stand. Es gab keine Duschwanne, so dass es fast nicht möglich war zu duschen ohne alles unter Wasser zu setzen. Am Fön war das Plastikgehäuse z.T. verschmort. Das Frühstück war sehr preiswert und für den Preis echt gut.
