The hotel itself had a great aesthetic, a beautiful pool area, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the actual room experience was very disappointing. The room was extremely small for my husband, daughter, and myself. The space felt very cramped, including the bathroom, and it made the stay uncomfortable overall. In addition, the TV in the room was broken and would not shut off unless it was unplugged. When I went behind the TV to unplug it, I discovered piles of dust built up behind it. Once the dust was disturbed, the air conditioning circulated it throughout the room, which unfortunately triggered an asthma flare-up. To make matters worse, there was also hair left in the bathtub when I went to shower, which raised concerns about the cleanliness of the room. While the property has a lot of potential aesthetically, the cleanliness, maintenance, and room size made this stay far below expectations.

Stayed at Barksdale twice before. Great location and wonderful breakfasts. Never disappointed.

in our room , every detail is top of the range and the restaurants and common areas are super. the front desk staff, especially Tania the head of staff, were extremely helpful in dealing with a particular matter we needed resolved . way beyond the normal assistance xx

Elevator kept breaking down. They are scheduled for a refresh and it certainly needs it.
