Second time in this charming hotel. We like it as much as the first time. The room was spacious and the hotel did not disappoint. We will be back again in the future.

It’s rhe worst ever hotel to find, all city is under construction. No help from the desk, we was lycky ther was I local mann who ask us after we have been driving around 40 min. about we was looking after the hotal ! Without him we would never find the hotel ! Please write a alternativ road when all roadwork goes on ! It spoiled our night, so we only found the hotel after 00.00 (and there was a deadline for check in 00:00

I loved the hotel the front desk young lady that checked me in was very helpful, she booked my massage with Valentina who was fabulous and exactly what I needed she helped me find a converter I needed and they the most delicious buffet breakfast with a wonderful staff I asked for crispy bacon and the next 2 mornings that is exactly what I got!!! Pool could have been a bit warmer (though I forgot to ask as I am certain they would have accommodated and they need to get an English speaking news station. Perfect place to stay I look forward to returning soon!

Great Hotel with a fantastic location

Stunning hotel with an amazing location. Only slight downside is the small interaction we had with the hotel staff was blunt and bordering on rude. The spa was also closed but this was not communicated at check in. May seem harsh on the review, as the stay otherwise was fantastic. Maybe the staff had a bad day, and the 3 minutes I spent with him was completely against the norm.

Not plesant dinner

Vi ´have visited Van der Valk in Hildesheim more times, and this time all was ok, exept our experience in the resturant. We order a before dinner drink, and a 3 course menu, a bottle of wine and a bottle of water. Afetr app. 20 min we aske for the drink, and got the wine, together with the starter menu, and no before dinner drink. We got it after we asked again for it - the water we got during the main course, again after we aske for it. The desert we never got - ok it was not on the bill - but all in all a not plessant dinner. The food was really ok, that the only positiver in that. And the service people was not in a hurry, our had time to averything else than help us.

Pricey but good

The location of the hotel can be a bit tricky to find. It faces onto the Market in front of the Rathaus, but the main entrance is down a side street which opens out. Signage should be improved as the doors onto the Markt itself arelocked for the cooler parts of the year. That was the only problem. The location is great, 11 minutes from the Hauptbahnhof and in the (rebuilt) old town. Probably the best hotel in town, certainly it is closer to what you would expect to pay in a big city! But the facilities, location and quietness are worth it. Breakfast is way too expensive if you just want a roll and a coffee, but plenty of choice in town. Recommended.

Das Zimmer war für die gehobene Preisklasse OK. Das Bad hatte eine Schiebetür, nicht abschließbar, nicht schließend wie man es von einer normalen Badtür erwartet. Trotzdem ein sehr schönes Bad. Die Beleuchtung war teilweise nicht in Ordnung. Die Möbel, naja..., der Schranksafe war nicht montiert, sondern nur lose im Schrank, quasi zum zugreifen und mitnehmen. Wer es nicht mag ab 5:30 Uhr von den Marktleuten durch die Aufbauarbeiten geweckt zu werden, sollte darauf achten, dass sein Zimmer nach hinten ausgerichtet ist und nicht zum Marktplatz. Ansonsten war das Hotel sehr schön und das Frühstücksangebot super. Die Hotellage ist für Hildesheimbesucher top. Die Tiefgarage hat einen eigenen Hotelzugang mit Aufzug. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Das Hotel befindet sich genau im Zentrum von Hildesheim. Zentraler wohnen geht nicht. Trotzdem gibt es eine öffentliche Parkgarage mit direkter Anbindung zum Hotel. Zimmer war großzügig geschnitten und gut eingerichtet.

Sehr zentrale Lage am Marktplatz. Alle Welterbestätten und Museum sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Restaurant und Bar sind top ebenso das Frühstück. Sehr liebevoll gestaltetes Ambiente. Schwimmbad und Saunabereich sind sehr empfehlenswert. Gerne wieder!
