A lovely hotel in the middle of busy Hanoi! It had such unique decor, almost gothic, but it was really nice and all the staff were so welcoming and friendly, the top floor restaurant and bar served yummy food too!

Great location in the Old Quarter. The manager and staff were extra-friendly and helpful. Checking in was very pleasant and easy. The staff are all extra-courteous and polite. They go out of their way make you feel at home even though you are a visitor in a foreign country. Breakfast was plentiful with many choices of Asian and Continental food. Great start for the day. A Great and New Hotel in Hanoi

Wonderful hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter in Hanoi....walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and enjoy the sights and sounds of Hanoi........many restaurants and the hotel itself has a great rooftop bar and restaurant.......oh, the front porch area has private seating and tables for their guests to watch the hustle and bustle of Hanoi go by......enjoy!

Excellent Service and Comfortable Room

10/10 very comfortable and welcoming hotel. Mia at the front desk took care of all our problems with unparalleled efficiency. It's convenient that you can chat on WhatsApp with the hotel and they respond pretty instantly. Hotel location is great and right near all the major sights; it was quick and easy to get a Grab and only a few minutes from the lake. We booked a suite and the car service to and from the airport was included as was breakfast. The included massage was very relaxing, although the masseuses could have been a bit more attentive to details. Generally everything was great and we would stay again at Le Chanvre the next time we are in Hanoi.

There are many hotels in the old town. They are almost all of similar width (apparently they are taxed on the size of their frontage). The main benefit of this hotel is that it is in walking distance of all the sites in Hanoi, such as the lake and citadel. The hotel has been recently renovated so it is clean and everything works - the room's aircon was exceptional. A special mention to the receptionist staff who were lovely.
