The people at Splendid is what makes it a special place. Customer service was five star and could be compared to some of the top end hotels of the world. In fact, better than most five stars hotels that I have stayed in like the JW Marriott and Taj. Fantastic location in the old quarter. The rooms are nice and roomy but the bathroom was not as nice one would get in a four star hotel. Overall package and the price point makes it a very compelling choice

This hotel was an amazing start to our trip to Vietnam. The hotel was in an excellent location, near to the St. Joseph Cathedral and only a short walk from the old quarter. Really big rooms, clean and wonderful staff. Good selection at breakfast with food cooked to order. Best thing was the staff. They were so nice and super helpful. Mr Dong helped us not only during our stay in Hanoi but helped book our trip to Halong Bay and even our onwards travel from the city!

The breakfast buffet was a delight, the food fresh and tasty. A good variety from fresh fruits, egg omelet, bacon, pork balls, mixed vegetables Vietnamese style and delicious plus ordered chicken or beef soup. Superb coffee Vietnamese style.
