Clarion Inn Elmhurst - Oak Brook near I-88, I-290, I-294
6/10 Okay
"$75 deposit that is standard, but is typically held pending on your card and release upon check out. The day after checkout it was charged to my card. Staff was not helpful upon calling so I assume I won’t receive my money back. No elevator, had to go through back door. Dingy and outdated stairs and hallway. Staff at check in was nice and the room was decent and clean. Pool was freezing cold. Party on the first floor outside the back door we had to use, people crawling in and out of the window. Slamming doors and tv all night. Heard very clearly in room. It was okay for a night to stay. Overall no issues other than deposit and noise but wouldn’t stay again."
"I’ve stayed at the hotel about 20 years ago. And was surprised at how run down it was. However floors 3 and 4 were shut down and being renovated. Assume that the entire hotel is being renovated.
Check-in staff was very helpful. And gave me extended check out for the next day. But the next day staff was lackadaisical and couldn’t give a damn. Refused to honor what the check in staff had agreed to.
There is a Starbucks cafe. But don’t try to pay with your Starbucks App. Because it isn’t Starbucks. Although they have a Starbucks logo plastered everywhere."
"Great place, very clean and organized. Nice pool & exercise area. The restaurant was very short staffed and backed up… not a big deal. The food was fantastic!"
"Hi, I really enjoyed your hotel a lot! The room was very large, extra clean, and had everything one needed. The staff, especially Karen, was exceptionally nice and helpful. The buffet breakfast was sufficiently good. The truth is all was great except for the front desk guy, Dante. He needs to learn what is a good customer service and not to yell at clients or make fun of their accent by pretending he did not understand. However, I won't this ruin my review, like I said Karen was the best. I and would go back anytime."
"Airport shuttle was an added bonus. They even paid for cab ride when the shuttle got late. The front desk was very helpful and professional. The only downside was that the breakfast area is small and got very chaotic on weekend mornings. Wish they used paper plates rather than styofoam plates."
