"Wonderful Tibetan hotel, a treasure in so many ways. Lovely people, lovely place and a lovely location. Minutes to the Dalai Lama Temple, the Kora circuit and the markets. The place itself is beautiful and a paradise away from the hub bub of taxi stalls, markets and the energy of the city. The Hummingbird Cafe was delicious! We ate Tibetan foods everyday and loved each meal. We bought a beautiful artisan Tibetan picture frame from their mini store in the cafe. All proceeds go toward the Tibetan cultural and educational programs. Bravo Norbulingkha Institute, thank you. We adored our stay. "

Room service was quick and everything I ordered tasted great — really fresh and well-prepared. The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights, with plenty of variety and different items every day, which kept it interesting. Overall, a great experience and definitely a place I’d recommend to others."

The manager, Ragish, was outstanding—super patient, considerate, and incredibly professional. He made sure that everything I needed was taken care of with a kind and thoughtful approach. The receptionist, Messo, was equally amazing, always greeting me with a smile and ensuring my stay was as comfortable as possible. And a special thanks to the chef, who not only prepared absolutely delicious meals but also took the time to check in with me to ensure I was enjoying the food. His care and attention to detail made every meal a highlight. The view from Greenwoods Inn is breathtaking—far more stunning than any photo on their profile could capture. When the temperatures dropped, they provided excellent heating, which made the stay cozy and enjoyable.
