"We stayed here prior to taking the ferry back to the mainland. Unfortunately our ferry was cancelled. We called down to the front desk to enquire about staying another night and we're advised that they were fully booked, which we understand. We than asked for a late checkout and the answer was simply"no". I think they could have offered an hour or two to the guests who were stranded as the next ferry if guests wouldn't be arriving until after 6 pm."
"Overall, this hotel is quite nice given its age. The rooms are clean and beds were good. The only negative part of the whole stay was the morning breakfast. There were two people there and neither one seemed to be in a good mood. The youngest one who served us was like a zombie, no care and seemed like she didn’t like her job. There was no smile, no welcome and no checking to see if our breakfast was liked. Also, the menu seemed a bit off. The continental breakfast came with a coffee, a piece of toast or muffin with jam etc and was $8.00. The add on had toast for $2.00 or a muffin for the same price. We were surprised afterwards to see this so ended up paying more for the breakfast than if we had just ordered a muffin and some toast. When paying for it all she still did not smile nor interact. Other than that all was good."
