"Great place"

"We loved this hotel! Customer service was great! It’s clean and animal friendly! You do have to pay $40 a night for your fur baby but that’s ok. They have 3 areas for your fur baby to play or use the bathroom. Not far from downtown Monterey and close to restaurants and Safeway. The room is spacious! It has a Keurig with pods, microwave and refrigerator. It also comes with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. It is true you can hear your neighbors walking around etc but for this area you can’t beat the price. Also the parking lot is small but you don’t have to pay for parking. Sometimes people complain about the most littlest things. I guess I’m just easy to please! 😊 "

"Amazing view, pleasant staff. Unfortunately Expedia posted misleading photos of the room options so we didn’t have the two story villa as planned and was extremely disappointed. Not the hotel’s fault, and Helen, the manager, even provided a check in gift as a gesture of good will. Thank you to Kyle for honoring a last minute request and for the excellent customer service."

"We stayed two nights at the property. Overall, our experience was pleasant. However, we had trouble with the AC. The first night it never went below 71 degrees which is too warm for our toddler and us to reasonably sleep. Since we checked in later in the evening and our toddler was put straight to bed we didn't notice right away. The AC panel stated it was on and "cooling" we could also hear the air blowing. So we figured it was just taking longer to cool. That was not the case. We brought it up to the hotel team the next morning and they sent a tech while we were out to check the AC. Unfortunately, the AC never worked properly during our stay. I share this because the hotel team was amazing at addressing this issue. They sent the tech immediately in the morning and then again in the evening when we realize it hadn't been resolved. They offered a room change to a room close by. But even that room was having AC issues. So in the end they brought us two large fans and reduced our first night's rate by half to address the lack of sleep. I will say that while we understand that sometimes issues come up. For the nightly rate that we were paying we expected a stay that was up to par with that rate. There's only so much the hotel team could do accommodate facilities that need repair. I hope that issues like these don't impact other guests stay, especially those traveling with toddlers."

"The staff was incredible however there were toe nail clippings on the floor when we arrived. Also the restaurant above us was very loud until late and early in the AM. The view was obstructed by a very large TV. But mostly the cleanliness of the room was a big issue."

"There was no breakfast offered and coffee was available from only 530 to 6:30 AM making it impossible so two coffees cost $13 from the bar"

"I think it was very affordable for being a beachfront hotel…I’d definitely return and stay there…Cannery Row was very close and the beach wasn’t packed with people…An overall great experience…"
