Recently completely rebuilt, and tastefully decorated - we felt as if we were stepping back into the 1950's - but with the exclusiveness and richness of a private residence, in Vidado, a neighborhood in transformation- quiet and about 10-12 minutes taxi ride to Old Havana- but walking distance to several restaurants, or walk the elegant Paseo boulevard to the Malecon, and watch the sea from a cafe. Staff are young, attractive, and eager to please. They enthusiastically ask for feedback on how to make the experience even better. Breakfast is wonderful. Excellent Cuban coffee or teas, eggs and fresh tomatoes, fresh fruit and yogurt with honey. Internet is slow and intermittent at times, but far superior to the experience others have told us about- with little or no internet at their hotels, whatsoever.
