"The hotel is nothing fancy but ok for a one night stay over. It’s 5 minute drive to Stansted airport so it’s convenient for the early morning flights. If you arrive late in the evening don’t expect too many options for dinner in the adjacent service area!! The bed was comfortable, the shower was good & the staff were friendly & helpful, what more do you need!!"

"This is the budget end of the Holiday Inn chain but it doesn't feel too budget. The check in was stand out in terms of friendliness and efficiency and there was a good choice for breakfast with plenty of food available. It was very busy on the Sunday morning but the team kept on top of it, turning tables around and keeping food stocked. The hotel itself is well located, with good parking (although you have to pay for it but there is a discount code provided by the hotel). It's possible to walk into Cambridge from there though it's a cheap Uber ride to get back. We've visited a few times now and will definitely consider again should we be in the area."

"Dyane and Duncan were extremely hospitable and courteous. Arriving at 10.30 pm, they accommodated my late arrival, due to bad traffic, gracefully and even made me a sandwich and tea because I had not eaten. My room was clean, freshly decorated and well equipped with a full-sized fridge, kettle, bottled water, tea, coffee, biscuits and TV. In the morning, I was freshly cooked an excellent full English breakfast which included cereal choice, fruit juice, tea or coffee, toast butter and jams. Overall, exceptionally good value (half the price of not far away Saffron Walden where I had attended an evening concert) and an enjoyable experience. I am not surprised that they have had so many good reviews - thoroughly well deserved. "
