"I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

"Advertised as car parking on site, this is not true. Staircase to property is poorly lit and a fall hazard. TV had no aerial. Lounge curtains don’t fit window and room is overlooked. Master bedroom curtains are completely see through and room is overlooked so cannot get undressed unless you’re happy to be seen! Boiler was broken, showing as having an internal electrical fault. "The appartment was gorgeous. Very clean and well equiped. Easy short walk to local restaurants/pubs and a nice walk to a waterfall leaving from behind the appartment. We would defintrly reccomend and hope to go again next year."

"A really comfortable weekend stay, easy walking distance to Hadrian’s Wall. The cottage is well equipped and dog friendly, the only downside was the adjacent Milecastle Inn isn’t doesn’t allow dogs inside. They do allow dogs in the beer garden which would be great in good weather but we visited in early March and it wasn’t sitting out weather. Haltwhistle is short drive away with dog friendly pubs, good Fish and Chips shops and supermarkets. "
