For a long haul trucker who needs a place to park his/her rig, this place would be ok. For an older couple traveling with 2 pets...not so much. The setting is bleak, the amenities are few and the hosts are not entirely welcoming. As a positive, in addition to the ample parking for big rigs and trailers, the property shares with a really excellent Mexican restaurant, El Amigo Feliz.

Terrible experience, the light in the bathroom was not working. Planning of the room was not smart, sink was outside of the bathroom. Drain system of Sink, shower and toilet was terrible. Didn't like it at all. Waste of money 🙁

This is the third time we've stayed here and this is the first time the room wasn't cleaned well - chocolate on the fridge, pee on the toilet seat. We shouldn't have to clean our own room.

Older hotel, but rooms are good. Clean, comfortable bed, only one pack of coffee, near the Highway, and a busy Mexican Grill restaurant so a bit noisy at times. Not much going on in this small area, but we slept well. Good for the price.

It was close to a restaurant, and it had a sort of view of water that made it feel a little better. The clerk was a bit inaccessible, which made me feel like it was a bad area, but she was pleasant and helpful.

Good price
Clean comfortable room. Doesn't look like much but for the price you can't beat it. Has truck parking and Mexican restaurant right on site. Rooms are on small size. Only issue was there was no chair at the desk.

We rested well. Nothing fancy but good enough for the price. We have stayed here several times because we enjoy the walking trail around the lake behind the property. It is a beautiful, peaceful area to stretch the legs after a Long day of traveling!

Front desk clerk was super friendly which is important to me. The room was clean and stocked with towels and soap. No complaints and will stay again when in the area.

Skip it.
The clean lady was so rude. Rolling her eyes and said the check out time was 10. We checked in at 3 in the morning and was not verbally told the check out time. There is not a trash bin around the property. Most importantly, I was given a room with used towels and used coffee cup. That was one of my worst motel experience.

We have stayed at this property several times on our travels. It is simple but we always rest well. The walking path around the lake behind the property is magical! We so enjoy a refreshing morning walk there before another day of travel.

Stopped for gas to wait out the rain, sleet and snow. I saw this place from the gas station just off the interstate. I looked up the prices and found extremely affordable for a warm stay and good night's sleep. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and easily accessible for my health. I also paid a very reasonable fee for my kenneled pets to come in out of the vehicle and cold, wet weather. There is a restaurant that had a lot of customers extremely close to walk to...wish I would of had the time and less nervous pets so I could of tried their food. All around, I would stop and stay there again if I needed to. Great place to schedule on your way through for a comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. Thank you for that.

On entering, there was safety glass separating the attendant, and first thing asked was to sign a damage waiver, made me concerned about the clientele and the area. Right next to a loud, active truck stop. Wall unit air conditioner kept sucking in small winged bugs from outside and blowing them onto the bed. There were also a lot of other small bugs (probably roaches) coming out from under the baseboard. I woke up with lots of small red marks around my ankles, so I assume there was something biting during the night.

Non smoking room reeked of stale cigarettes, floor and shower were filthy. TV got one channel the CW. Door won’t close all the way, locks, but huge gap around it that allowed dampness and bugs in. Semi trucks parked out front with motors running all night and people playing music and talking at midnight. All this for the low price of $80 on a weeknight. There is literally a toilet sitting out on the walkway of the “lake view rooms”. What a dump

Awesome finding a place last minute to stay the night after 10 hours of driving. Horrible waking up the next morning to hit the road for another 10 hours covered in bed bug bites!! Called front desk the next day to inform them of infestation and was highly disappointed by service rep reaction. They claimed they have had someone else stay there the last few nights (not true because I was there the night before lol) who did not experience this. With a little research it's not hard to find that some people are sensitive to bed bug bites while others are not and will not show any sign. The next thing they said was they cleaned the sheets. Again common knowledge, cleaning sheets does not prevent bed bugs. They could be living anywhere in the room. This place is grossly ill-informed on how bed bugs work, so not surprised I and a family member ended up getting ate up. I really hope they heed my advice and do something to prevent this from happening to the next person who is sensitive to bed bug bites.** I did not stay any other hotels or make any other overnight stops.

Adequate to sleep but dirty. Skip it
I was just traveling through and just needed to stop and sleep for a few hours before getting back on the road and this was where I happened to stop. I should’ve kept going. The “lobby” is the size of a small closet with a hole in the glass window to talk and pass room keys through. I was handed a paper to sign and when reading it before signing, the guy sternly said “it’s fine. just sign it” The room was filthy (gum stuck the bathroom door, absolutely disgusting shower, curly hairs (you know the kind) everywhere). The bed was okay but may have just felt better than it was after 10hrs of driving. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t spend more than $30 a night to stay here as a young single dude that just needs to rest. I’d have asked for a refund and stayed elsewhere if traveling with lady or family.
