This is a newly built small hotel near a marketplatz in Heidelberg. It is family owned and operated, not part of a big chain.
Our stay in July 2019 was really wonderful. The room was clean, well furnished, and was perfect for our family. It had a clever patio door that could be either a door or window. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast they serve is great, it had cereal, muesli, fresh fruit, yogurt, an array of meats and cheese and condiments, always a fresh coffee cake, and hot eggs or something similar. Also a great espresso or tea machine. (Note that there is a charge for breakfast, which is worth it because it’s so extensive.)
There are several restaurants and cafes nearby, and it’s a block from a main tram line, so it’s easy to get around the city without a car. We went to the castle and other tourist spots easily.
An added bonus is that there is a farmers market in the marketplatz Wednesday and Saturday, with all sorts of fruit, cheeses, breads, or sausages you can buy. And a small frig in your room to hold what you buy.
The owner is so friendly and helpful, and was extra accommodating meeting some of our specific needs. I highly recommend this hotel.
