"Sand Hotel was a "last minute" addition to our Reykjavik trip. This hotel did not disappoint. The rooms were spotless, modern, and super comfortable. Black out blinds were perfect and the beds were some of the best in Iceland. Super close to shopping, several restaurants and desert locations. I bit of walk (8-10 minutes) to the airport transfer pickup but it is all down hill so it is not a hard walk. Did I mention front desk staff here are amazing! Highly recommended.. Stay here! "

"Spacious room, comfortable and clean bed. The hotel locates right next to one of the pick-up bus stops so it is very ideal for both solo and group travellers joining various local tours in Iceland. Also, the hotel does take the VIP status of Expedia into account, and offer some complementary gifts if you have one. (which is a surprise to me as I heard most of the hotels ignore that) Great affordable restaurant at the G/F of the hotel, and offered a variety of dishes (like rib, seafood and lamb burger). This is my second time choosing hotels of the same group, and I will definitely recommend anyone choosing hotels under the same group in Reykjavik. Thank you all the staffs which makes our trip memorable :D"
