"Staying at the Grand Hotel was truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. While it may not be the most modern or flashy property, its historic charm more than makes up for it. Our room was enormous, beautifully kept, and full of character. The location was unbeatable—perfectly placed to enjoy everything Amsterdam has to offer. What really made the stay unforgettable was the service. It felt like stepping back in time to when hospitality meant something special. The staff were available 24/7, arranging taxis, anticipating needs, and treating us with the kind of old-school attentiveness you’d expect from a personal butler. Their warmth and professionalism elevated the entire trip. The hotel’s amenities were just as impressive—the comfortable bed, a luxurious tub, the pool, and all the little details that made it easy to balance both business and leisure. I even had local friends visit, and they were equally impressed with the beauty and history of the building. I have no complaints—only gratitude. The Grand Hotel added an unforgettable touch of elegance and charm to my Amsterdam experience."

"Upon arrival the staff welcomed us like we were family. So right away they were winning points. The bed in the room was comfortable for 4 nights. The only thing about the room is the bathroom/shower area. If you're travelling with someone else, I hope you're familiar with each other as they really aren't separate from the sleeping area. Other than that, it's a super convenient area. Close to the Reichstag museum and close to popular tram stops. Would stay here again."

"Set up is for very social situation with loads of students around, but all ages seem welcome. Good location right near a metro stop. Rooms were adequate, clean and comfortable. Coffee machine, kettle and mini stroopwaffels provided. Staff were great - I managed to hurt my back during the stay and the team were super kind and helpful, including extending my stay, grabbing pain meds from the pharmacy and offering to obtain food and other assistance as required. Super grateful for their help. "

"River view from 9th floor was fantastic and made our stay. Room a bit smaller than ideal but bed large and very comfy. Decor slightly faded but ok. Room was also very quiet and this is especially impressive as we were directly above the station."
