We stayed in Hayden Bridge just out of Hexham. Lovely and quiet.
While there might not be top attractions in Limestone Brae, you can explore the larger area and discover places like Nenthead Mines and Killhope Lead Mining Museum.

Hexham has variety of shops and cafes to visit.
Property is around 30 minutes from Hexham itself. Lovely town though with everything you might need.
