Bernie and Diana were extremely generous hosts who made us feel immediately welcome with our kids and dog. They provided everything we could have needed for a comfortable and delightful stay in a beautiful setting. The highlight was meeting the affectionate resident camels - what adorable creatures! We intend to return for a longer stay - absolutely loved Abington Farm and highly recommend.

A beautiful, quiet spot to get away for a few days. River House was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The area is gorgeous with plenty of space for the dogs to roam. A lovely stay.

Fabulous farmstay
What a fantastic place to stay. Diana gave us such a genuine welcome and the little cottage overlooking Rainbow Creek was lovely. Comfortable, clean, warm and well equipped, very cosy on a cold autumnal night. The breakfast provisions were more than generous. River mists, abundant birdlife, a firepit and friendly farm animals rounded out the experience and made our stay memorable for all the right reasons.

A pet friendly weekend getaway in Victoria
The Barn was amazing! Owner was very welcoming and detailed on providing instructions for how to get there and explaining everything about the place etc. The amount of ingredients they've left in the fridge for breakfast was so good. Will definitely return one day to see if the cat remembers the resident farm dogs.

Property had rustic charm and was quiet. Hosts very informative, with clear communication. Very generous breakfast supplies. Our room, the dairy, could have been cleaner and in better repair. The shower in particular could be updated or made more inviting.

Our stay at The Barn was lovely. It is rustic but real, not a plastic item in site but genuine old timber and furniture. Host was pleasant & friendly but also kindly left us to enjoy our peace and privacy. Breakfast provisions were generous and delish.

The owner introduced himself upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. His communication was excellent and he was very approachable. He went the extra mile and checked on our dog while we were gone for a wedding. Overall, he was more than willing to do anything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our accommodation had a beautiful view over the river and fields, was clean, tidy and amenities were more than enough! Thank you for such a relaxing stay at the most beautiful property in Heyfield!

The River House at Abington Farm offered a peaceful, picturesque base for our winter getaway. Bernie’s warm welcome and generous hospitality put my 13 year old son and I at ease; we couldn’t have been more cosy and comfortable with the cottage amenities and extra bed provided. We loved waking up to the sound of birdsong, looking out over the river and fields to the mountains beyond and enjoying the delicious breakfast provisions. It was such a treat to relax in the jacuzzi at the end of the day after building a fire and toasting marshmallows under a chilly starlit sky. Our only regret was we didn’t try the kayaks left out for us; never mind this is a place to return to.

Very enjoyable stay. The hosts made us feel very welcome and will definitely come back again. The river is a gem for doggies wanting a swim , had trouble getting our retriever out of the water as he kept jumping in.

Nice location, but the amenities in the kitchen were lacking. It was good for an overnight stay with our poodle. Hospitality was wonderful. And the inside information on where to eat was second to none.

Perfect Princes Hwy Ptstop
This barn is the perfect set up for a stay in Gippsland. We were well into a long roadtrip from Sydeny to Melbourne taking the coastal Princes Highway route rather than the Hume. This was the perfect mid way stop for us, and after a night of camping we have a wonderful stay, cooking a roast and relaxing. All the amenities you could want, including a spa bath overlooking a wonderful field, comfy bed, Wifi and pay tv - everything had been thought of. We didn't leave the accommodation so I cant really comment on the local area, but the breakfast ingredients were perfect and we had a wonderful stay.

The Barn was really rustic and full of character. Bernice was just lovely to have a chat with and his two dogs Chloe and Nova are the most friendliest dogs I've encountered. Made it feel very homely. And even though you had to cook your own breakfast, there was enough for a whole day!

Staying at Abington Farm was relaxing and indulgent. Loved the view from the bath and the substantial breakfast supplied. Great place to unwind. My daughter loved the internet too.
