"Our suite was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Although I believe the room was designed for four people, it could very comfortably accommodate four adults (two couples sharing the two queen-size beds), plus a child, perhaps ages 3–10, on the wide sofa. There would still be room for a pack-and-play or inflatable bed.
The best things about Homestead were the helpful staff, the pools, and the beautiful setting. Staff members are happy to drive you around the property in golf carts, which was especially helpful given the size of the resort. There are three pools and three hot tubs, and the pool area has a full bar and restaurant. The quality of service at the pool restaurant varied, but it was wonderful to let the kids play in the pool while I enjoyed a glass of white wine and some delicious pork belly lettuce wraps.
The scenery is another major plus. Midway is beautiful, and Homestead is a lovely setting for a resort. We even saw a deer on the grounds.
There are a few downsides. The property is currently under construction, so some areas are less polished than they will presumably be once the work is finished. The coffee line at the Milk House can also be quite long, and the café seemed understaffed during our visit. Parking is somewhat limited for a resort of this size. That said, the parking situation wasn't a major inconvenience because staff will come pick you up in a golf cart and help with your luggage, and it is FREE. Great!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!"
