"We loved our stay at Okendon Manor Hotel, it is a beautiful period property, with a lot of character, a stunning traditional English garden, a great fine dining restaurant and one of the best spas I've been to. What more can you ask for for a relaxing getaway? Highly recommended! "

"Other reviews had some negative remarks about it being noisy, old and such, therefore I had some reservations prior to our arrival, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The establishment is an older building and with this comes thin walls, outdated fixtures and other bits but overall it was a comfortable stay. The building had a wonderful charm and had a pub on one side that became lively in the evening and yes, cause some noise but being from the city, nothing that would cause me not to be able to sleep. The staff we interacted with were both welcoming and accommodating, which can be hard to find the two together.
We booked the double twin room and while it wasn’t the most luxurious accommodation, it was FAR from the most worst I’ve ever paid for and stayed at. The price we booked, the establishment, staff and location was just what we were looking for to kick off our little excursion throughout various Sussex points of interest. The location is also a quaint town and felt very safe, peaceful and we never worried about our car.
If you book with them expecting what you might consider as luxury, then you might be in for a rude awaking. But, if you book accepting that this is an older building, one with some history, is part of the community and therefore lively and filled with people coming and going in the evening at the pub, do not fret and book your stay… a tired traveler will rest essy here."
