"Small family-runned motel, furnitures are old, some part of the property renovated but the rest is dated and need owner's attention e.g. broken venetian blinds, no closet nor hooks+hangers for hanging clothes & towels. I booked a family room just because they have one king bed and one double bed that fit in our family of 5. We only stayed one night but the in-room microwave,fridge & coffee maker eased our need. Overall it is not too bad for the price I paid."

"Everything people complained about previously must've been resolved or people were just being picky...the staff was very friendly, the property was very clean and updated. And the amenities were perfect for my family. The breakfast was very filling!"

"When we arrived at the motel, the first thing we noticed was the landscaping in front of the property, was not as it appeared on the website. It showed bright green trees, the paint on the building was not the same paint we seen on website. After checking in and getting a card to enter the room.......OMG!!! The room was dirty, is the least I can say, putting it mildly. The 2 beds in the room both had multiple black tiny specs ontop of spread as well under the spread. As I looked in the bathroom hair was in tub, on walls on the toilet seat. Overall, I will never stay at another RED ROOF INN!!! THEY DO NOT TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR BUSINESS, IF THEY DID THEIR PROPERTY WOULD BE MUCH MORE APPARENT OF BEING CLEAN"

"This is really an excellent value for a budget hotel near the highway. The room was clean and everything was in good condition. The staff was helpful and friendly. There was a surprisingly wide variety of items at their breakfast buffet which included a few hot items. We're unlikely to pass through Hillsville again, but we would not hesitate to stay here if we do so."

"Parking right outside of room. Room was spacious, refrigerator was decent size. Room was quiet with no highway noise which I appreciated. Sam at front desk was very helpful. Breakfast was fine with scrambled eggs and various breads, cereals and yogurts and waffle machine. Best view of mountain from breakfast area."
