Only the price of the stay makes it a 5 star hotel! Fabulous grounds and rooms over Chuzenji lake but the service was dismal. This was my 3rd time staying here, great location a few min walk from the train and bus terminal, warm comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff, it's a shame they changed the breakfast service, the curry and rice were excellent before... I'd definitely recommend eating at yuba komachi while in Nikko, ...
