"We stayed at Waterland Farm as a family of 9 (plus 1 dog) for a long weekend break and it was brilliant. The house is very spacious with lots of facilities, including a toy room for the kids, a PS /x-box and old-school vinyl record player. The outdoor area is massive and the kids loved the football goal and playground. As it states the field isn’t secure for a dog as there are open areas but she still enjoyed a run around. Overall a great place to stay and we would return! "

"A very nice modern cottage close to Holworthy. The cottage is spacious and equipped with all tools you require for a good holiday. There are 2 sleeping rooms, separated by a corridor and living/diningroom, with both a bathroom en-suite. One has a kingbed and the other a double bed. The terras is equipped with bbq, jacuzzi and sitting area. There is safe dishwater for outside, for inside there is sufficient kitchenware. The living room is spacious and has a nice fireplace. "It's a beautiful old place, if you are expecting luxury then it's not going to float your boat. It's very relaxed and the bar is well stocked. Simon and his staff are great and I was made to feel very welcome, booking taxis etc was all done with a genuine smile not a corporate one. Rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and a really comfortable bed. Let's face it, the place is nearly 400 years old and it oozes character. I'd happily stay again"

"Booked a Signature room overlooking the golf course for a 3 night stay. On the first night it was abundantly clear the rooms air conditioning wasn’t working. Informed reception the following morning and advised maintenance would be notified. Despite 2 further visits to reception no repairs completed but an electric fan left in the room. Which isn’t ideal to have whirring away throughout the night. So very little sleep had. "

"Unfortunately our stay was marred by the fact that the bathroom bin had not been emptied and contained the previous residents used sanitary products!!! The shower took 25 minutes to drain and, whilst we understand the logistics of old manor houses, if the plumbing is not up to standard then this should be at least mentioned on booking. The bathroom windows were in desperate need of repair, and mould cleaner, which may be the reason why there were silverfish in the bathroom. The final straw for us was the view of all the bins from the bedroom window! I'm sure it's got more to offer but we won't be going back to find out. We did mention all of the above on checkout and she was going to send maintenance to have a look so hopefully the next guests don't have the same issues."

"Our stay was very good every item you wound need was there for cooking Tv all towels and cleaned every day, if there was one downside it didn’t have a lift as we were on the second floor and being in our seventies couldn’t carry our cases up fortunately we contacted the reception and they sent a person to help which was great other than that couldn’t fought it,"
