"The Colts Neck Inn Is nostalgic, it has the look of the past, while incorporating the present. The inn is located against Route 34 and County Road 537, the intersection is loud and busy. My room was up against the highway, it was not tranquil, it was anxiety ridden, and falling asleep impossible. The room was cold, no carpets around the bed, lament flooring, the bathroom had marble flooring, the heat was limited, unless you turned it on HIGH. A beautiful entrance way led to cold modern rooms. The person above me had huge, loud feet, the refrigerator made popping noises. I felt unwelcomed. The grounds unkept, the outside of the building in need of repair. It lost it's luster. I remember it well in the past, as I traveled Rt 34 a lot. The price of the room was fair. I arrived at 1:53PM, no early check in was granted and the staff was just plain weird. Breakfast was OK. Overall weird vibe."

"It was a last minute booking. I arrived to the front desk. An adult welcomed me and said- well this is the last room we have just released. Good. Check in and of to the room. It is midnight by this time. I found the room, opened the door and the this sharp uncomfortable scent just hit me in the face. I looked to see where ac was to hopefuly move the air around. The thermostat was not working - full out of power. Lets try the bathroom fan - omg! As I opened the door the stench of the pee was terrible. I could not take it. All those everest making me noscious and uncomfortable, headache was sneaking in. I looked around. Room was dusty, carpet part not cleaned, dirty sock was on the shelf. There was a shelf and sugar and stirrer pockets but no coffee machine to use either At this point it dis not matter as I was ready to just throw up due to those uncomfortable events and unclean room. Yes. Room was $100. I was not expecting much but I would have been better sleeping outside then in. I have stayed in red roof before but this was just terrible. I grabbed my bag, opened the door and left. My entire stay was probly less than 30 min. And I was trying to give it a chance but smell did the damage. Could not get over it. Oh, none of the usb chargers worked - not sure if power outlets did. It was the worst and shortest hotel stay and a waste of $101."

"The young lady at the front desk wasn't to friendly checking in, but the young lady checking out had a good demeanor , l appreciated her smiling. "

"Desk staff was very friendly. My daughter had dance competition that weekend and i checked in late that night it was clean and quiet loved it. Next morning breakfast was decent just wish they had yogurt but everything else was fine. They had pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit, cereal, and cinnamon rolls. Check out was a breeze. "
