"Two things strike you when you pull in to Sjoberg Ferie, 1) a beautiful location and 2) the look of a construction yard, with temporary structures (porto-potty?) and window/doors either about to be installed or just being taken out. The room was comfortable enough with a kitchenette (fridge, stovetop - no microwave or oven). A jumble of IKEA furniture, average design and a bed frame so awkward it was uncomfortable to sit up and watch tv. Decent number of outlets but no hooks in the bathroom....

"I wish I could give this hotel 100 stars. Staff so pleasant, courteous & friendly. Hotel spotlessly clean. Room had everything we needed. Bed very comfortable. Absolutely phenomenal breakfast choice - all included in price. Bus & train stations a 3 minute walk from hotel. Public transport is amazing in Stavanger - especially if you buy 24hr travel pass. Shops 5 minute walk, along with great restaurant/bar choices and the harbour. Can't wait to go back to this hotel again. "

"Avoid if possible! Very good location and it ends here! Very poor and rude customer service and apartment lacking basic amenities So first of all booked Ocean view apartment and they decided to change it and give me City view apartment, there pretty noisy; itโ€™s sad that Expedia ke giving this option and customer service says itโ€™s upto then who will get it! So basically you pay for something and still they will decide if you get that view or not! Well, thatโ€™s where my story donโ€™t end- COLD WATER...

But the breakfast buffet at the Clarion/Comfort Hotels I stayed at in Alesund and Tromso had more food choices/varieties. Room window was dirty, however. Overall, I would consider staying here again in the future."

But don't be put off as there are regular buses and trains going between Paradis station and Stavanger central within 5 minutes of the apartments and a bus stop similar distance. We paid extra for a harbour view which was lovely but we could not open the window or sit on the shared balcony because our room was next to a smoking room and the guests there exercised their right to smoke. When we mentioned this in the morning the customer service was appalling with the receptionist shrugging her shoulders and asking what she could do. Well; for one thing not have a smoking room...
