the Perfect, Beautiful Getaway!
I was unsure at first, since there weren't any prior reviews on hotels.com. After finding fantastic reviews on other travel/B&B webites, though, I am thrilled to start what I am sure will be a long list of great hotels.com reviews of Stony Ridge Ranch.
The location is beautiful, about 25 minutes from Bandera, a few miles down dirt roads, and is home to a deer farm. How lovely to see these calm cottontails looking curiously at you while meandering through the trees! The "cabins" are more like cabanas... Two separate dwellings attached, but each private. Everything is beautifully decorated... Simple but tranquil, stylish and with personality. The bed and bedding were fantastic.
But the real treat is the food. Rolly cooks the guests a fantastic country breakfast each moring and is quite the gourmet! a delicious way to start your day in beautiful Texas Hill Country. The rest is up to you... Go for a hike, reserve some horses at a nearby ranch, head to Bandera, Lost Maples, or just relax on the porch with a glass of wine and a book.
