When you are at the front door the neighbours dog barks. We appreciate there is nothing that can be done about this. "Great one night stay at the Pilgrim. The room was spacious and clean, albeit a bit faded - the ensuite in particular could have benefited from redecoration. However, it was still good value for money. Dinner was excellent, and far above the usual hotel standard: the crispy beef in sweet chilli sauce is highly recommended and my filled flatbread starter was also very accomplished. The Pilgrim has clearly found itself a talented chef, which makes the hotel very appealing for anyone who values great food. Overall, a great experience and I hope to stay here again soon."

"Our room was beamed and the superking sized bed was comfortable. There was a very thick duvet - a bit too hot for the weather - but an excellent fan was already in the room. Evening meal was good and a nice atmosphere in the bar and dining area. The waiter Connor was very attentive. Gluten free options are available but double check when ordering just to be sure!! Breakfast was self serve in a rustic kitchen . No GF options . All in all , a good one night stopover and a good price. Would go again."
