Pet friendly - absolutely
I was worried about staying in a motel with my two dogs (Labrador and Golden Retriever) but the team a Smerdon Lodge Motel were great and friendly. We'll be back!

I like everything, except the walls are paper thing. Could heat the ladys conversion on the phone on one side and the guy in the toilet the otherside. For this reason ibwould not stay here again.

Fan in bathroom thumping noise when working, only long life milk available in rooms asked for full cream and got told to buy at the shut shop next door. Breakfast room ran out of full cream milk told management and bad luck nobody told him, told previous day. The whole property needs updating, but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Not likely to stay again

Neat and Clean Overnighter
Neat and Clean overnighter on the highway from Melb to Adel. Ok its not the Taj Mahal and its a bit rough around the edges, but you park at your door, simple yet tidy room, and you can’t ask for more than that. Good value!

Overnight stay good value for money
Was a stop in Horsham for a quick trip to Adelaide , We said we wouldn't get there till around 8.30 pm . but to the owners credit she was outside waiting for us . Was a good nights sleep on a very comfortable bed .In the throws of doing a bit of work we suspect . a dripping tap in bathroom ,a bit of dust on free standing fan New A/C units . Good price and a nice light breakfast provided in a breakfast room .

Pets are allowed at this property. I didn't take mine but its good to know as there's not much pet friendly accommodation out there. The beds and pillows were comfy. The bathroom is tired and worn out but it is an older motel. The staff were friendly and up for a chat. Continental breakfast is included

Very friendly staff, great location, amazing variety of choices for the included continental breakfast (gluten free, soy, coconut and almond milk) and they even had the air-con on and running for our arrival on a 38C day - very thoughtful!!!

Units are a little dated however very clean. Great shower bottled water in fridge and ice available. On a hot day beautiful clean pool and pool towels provided. Continental breakfast was excellant.

The Motel staff were very friendly and helpful. The motel is an older style motel but the room was clean and tidy.

Being pet friendly was important to us, but we had so many mosquitoes in our room, I must have killed 15 - 20. Also important to note that the railway line runs at the back of the bedrooms which will wake the more sensitive sleepers

Thank you for your review, Unfortunately due to water laying everywhere from the extreme weather conditions we have been hit with mosquitoes are in the thousands in the district. We have had the exterior sprayed and have supplied spray in each room. Due to high occupancy we have been so far unable to spray rooms directly as we don't want our guests to be inconvenienced by this. But have blocked out rooms this week to start the spraying inside the rooms.

Lovely lady at reception explained the ins and outs. The room had such comfortable beds, and even at -1 degree at night the heating kept us warm. Its no Hilton, but it was clean and great value.

Shower blocked,flooded the bathroom.Sofa bed marked and looked grotty as did carpets. Heater/cooler over front door, constantly dripping water, so much so, that front door mat had to be stepped over when going outside,and it looked like water was running inside and marking the carpet. Was the worst motel I have ever stayed.
