Room size is fine for one night, a bit small for a longer stay. The bathroom wasn't as clean as it could have been. Breakfast was fine, but the coffee is bitter. The location was great for us with Oaklawn Park and several restaurants within easy walking distance.

The hotel and room itself was clean. There was a damp smell in our room that I’m assuming came from the air conditioner. The ac also struggled to keep up—it was a mild weekend in April and we set the thermostat to 70, but it took quite a while to get down to 70. Beds were comfortable enough for us. The staff was always very friendly. The breakfast was not great, so much so that we went out for breakfast the second morning. Disappointing when “breakfast included” is one of the reasons you choose a place. Overall not bad.

Staff was friendly. Allowed us to get a parking pass early and use shuttle to have lunch at Casino before checking in. Shuttle was a definite plus. But ends at 11pm. The breakfast was average high carb, sugary food you find at these hotels. For as much as we spent for one night the options should have been more. We opted to eat at The Best Cafe about a mile away.

The room was good, exactly as pictured. It was pretty buggy though, lots of ladybugs dead and alive, plus I had a few centipede and earwigs. The walls are VERY thin especially the ceilings, you won't get any rest if anyone is above you. I was woken up several times both nights by the people above me, in the hall and people on the stairs. Breakfast was really good, lots of hot and cold options. Wifi was spotty. Staff were all very nice. There's lots of parking available.

Free shuttle to Oaklawn Racetrack is a definite bonus. Driver was helpful in recommending a place to eat, friendly, courteous and prompt when picking us up. Our room was clean and fresh. Our only complaint was the squeaky bedframe. Would stay here again.
