"Very friendly staff! Pet friendly. Not U-Haul or trailer friendly. I was able to park in the back and detach my U-Haul into a space and park next to it. The area is a mix of locals and surfer hippies. Plenty of food choices less than 30 seconds to walk to. COFFEE is across the main road next to Vons. About a 2-3 minute walk but worth it for the doughnuts. THE HOTEL is NOT on the beach. It is situation at the beginning of the road, so it takes about 1-2 minutes to walk down. Any pictures of the rooms with a beach front view are the apartments that are down on the beach and you will need to reserve. "

"Everything was pretty ok except the room. It was clean but the coffee maker was making really bad coffee that wasn't even hot, moreover the creamer was as so old that it wasn't a powder but hard tiny brick like pieces. Also room itself had a weird smell, like stuffy, despite the fact that we opened the window for awhile and run the AC all night. It kind of smelled like wet dirty socks and both my husband and I got runny noses "

"Room was nice, very spacious. The reception staff weren’t the best, maybe it’s just certain people but they had the vibes of “didn’t want to be there.” Besides that, the cleaning staff as well as who I talked to by the buffet breakfast service were wonderful! Overall great place, close to a great strip of food and drinks and movie theater."

"Wonderful setting. Visited during Easter weekend so there were so many young kids which may have taken away from the experience to be honest. But at same time, it's always nice to see people enjoying the outdoors. "

"Hotel's location was great. Courtyard breakfast was lovely and the room was comfortable; although, the bathroom floor was wet when we entered (possibly freshly mopped but I feared toilet overflow. We had no toilet issues). Check in staff seemed generally annoyed, but we did arrive just near check in and the neighborhood was busy with an event so she may have been overwhelmed with customer parking concerns. We would definitely stay here again. "
