Really enjoyed our stop at The Hill - staff upgraded us to the main building (didn't realize i booked us into the cottages by mistake) and was very pleasant. Room was fine - a little small with an odd door out the bathroom to the patio - but was cute and cozy. Restaurant staff was nice and the girl at the front was really friendly and welcoming.

Check-in was fine, it’s at The Hill hotel across the street. The room itself is very basic. No tv, no microwave, no mini fridge. Just a bed, couch and bathroom. Bed was comfortable. There isn’t a sidewalk leading into the door, you have to wheel any suitcases over gravel. Extra charge for breakfast, 3400 ISK per person. Dinner is also very pricey. We ended up getting takeout pizza from Mika Restaurant in a nearby city, which was very good. The hotel was fine for a quick stop on our way to the next thing, but don’t come if you’re looking for amenities.

Fraudulent alert! I’ve never left a review before. Essentially the listing is a marketing ploy and there was zero hospitality. Be warned - There is no pool at this hotel. In spite of the click bait fraud which has the first picture featured on this site for the property with a hot spring pool which does not exist at the hotel. This should not be allowed as it’s beyond misleading. There are however small hot tubs but these are for the exclusive use of the cabin guests not the hotel guests - which the receptionist quickly and harshly advised at checkin. The entire staff was rude to the point of being disrespectful during both check-in and at the restaurant. Pass on this one.

There was no WiFi, no hot water, and no access to the pools as the description stated. They also provided incorrect information on check-in and gave us the wrong room key. We were only staying to sleep/leave in the AM and so would have rated higher if there was hot water for the shower as all we wanted was a shower and a place to sleep. My sister stayed in another room and had the same issues with lack of hot water.

Lovely, though if you need it bring a sleeping mask as there were no blackout curtains. Also check in is across the road at the Hill Hotel. This was not well indicated by the property. We learned from others then passed on the information to others who were wondering about baffled by the missing registration office. It’s a nice place and close to the secret lagoon.

The rooms are clean etc. However, nobody tells you that check in is at the property across the street "The Hill", also the window curtains are very thin, so with now a lot of day light, not possible to get it dark in the bight in your room; the Wifi was broken, and there was no compensation for that.
