"Fantastic comfortable hotel - Lovely, tastefully decorated rooms which were warm, cozy and spacious . The staff were fantastic and friendly and extremely informative and helpful . We enjoyed our meals in the bistro including breakfast in 3 mornings and an evening meal - the food was delicious and every attention to detail was given.
We were very impressed with all aspects of our stay and will definitely book again when back in Northumbria!"

However, the room was freezing and had to sleep in my coat. Radiator never came on even though it was set to high.

"The couple who run this establishment are genuinely two of the nicest people you could wish to meet. We stayed in the Tack Room -which has self catering facilities if you wish to use them. However there is no need as a pre-ordered breakfast is delivered to your room each morning. There is a huge variety of choices the fresh fruit salad and yoghourt was great and also the full English.
The small garden at the front is gorgeous and totally private .To say that the accommodation is clean is an understatement it is pristine and everything is provided in both bathroom and lounge area, kitchen and bedroom. Especially a good mirror with a socket near by to dry your hair which even good hotels fail to provide.! I could not think of anything they had missed. There is even a small wood burner for cool nights! It is exceptional and a few minutes walk into centre of Alnwick."
