It wasn’t all bad. The bed was comfortable, there was a fridge with freezer for ice packs etc., sufficient towels. Unfortunately the place was quite run down as was most of the town, which is sad. The place definitely needs the stale small addressed as well as cable/internet. Midway into watching tv, the screen changed from the movie to a screen indicating the screen was now controlled by Ryan. This could not be rectified. Left name not feeling overly secure. No where to eat breakfast unless you drive about 20k to a Tim’s in the next town. Also - motel didn’t know my name for a reservation … hmm. Would not stay again.

For the price the hotel was decent. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It did have a musty smell but I think a lot of these types of hotels just have that. I had some air spray that I used to help take away the smell

Very strange and there was a bucket in the room in case the roof leaked. But was a rather uneventful overnight stay. We didn’t like that there was multi use soaps and lotions in the room, instead of disposables, especially due to COVID-19. We went and bought out own.

Very disappointing experience! Arrived at 930pm and was told by the owner that they “need to sleep too” when asked if we could get settled in while waiting for the lengthy check in process, which took over 15 minutes with a 7month pregnant me waiting in the car. Hotel advertised as pet friendly, however, on arrival we were told it was not pet friendly, which was remedied with pet fee. We were then placed in the very last room with too weak wifi strength to use the provided tv box. Both owner and his wife were not wearing masks for the entire process, including when he went in to our room to show my partner how to use the tv. Fan in bathroom hanging off the ceiling, towel rack falling off wall, faucet spraying water. Far too expensive for what you get, would NOT recommend.

The room was very comfortable with lots of space to place our luggage and things. Very comfortable. The manager, a very friendly, happy guy, pro-actively gave good suggestions for places to eat, places to walk, etc. Wow!, I would definitely stay at this motel again in the future.

Everything you need for a stopover
The Motel had everything you needed for a one night stay. The rooms are a little tired looking, bed was ok, but they need better pillows. Two pancake pillows were provided per bed. The bathroom was clean and updated. There were no open restaurants nearby, so had to drive to Blind River for dinner.

The innkeeper and his wife were very welcoming and accommodating. The only thing that worried me as a Senior was that the bathtub was very slippery with nothing to hold on to and I had to put a towel in the bath tub as a non slip mat. They would be well served by investing in some bath tub mats, to avoid any accidents.

Disappointing
Dirty floors and bathroom. Bed was uncomfortable. Roof leaked very badly but there was no one at front desk, no number to call to get a different room, so we slept with the water dripping. In the morning we told the owner but he was busy and walked away. Very disappointed

Motel was very conveniently located, right off the highway with convenient parking right by our room's door. Glad refrigerator had a freezer. Bed was comfortable. Had a restaurant right there, which was convenient, but limited menu with lots of deep fried foods & probably packaged, frozen items they cooked. Major problem: We had a reservation for 9/24/19 and on our way, at the beginning of our trip, on 9/14 we went past the motel, so stopped in to check that we had the 9/24 reservation, which they confirmed. When we got there on 9/24 they had NO RESERVATION of a room for us. Where did it go in the 10 days between 9/14 & 9/24? But they had a vacant room, so gave it to us at the same price as quoted. The room wasn't in good repair - cracked tiles on the bathroom floor, peeling wall paper, peeling ceiling tiles, very used, old, dingy looking towels. Air conditioner was VERY loud when it came on. Enough to wake you up. Also, person who registered us didn't speak very understandable English. Their address was confusing. Was in "Iron Bridge" but address said "Huron Shores" on Expedia site.
