"We just stayed for a night but I wish we could have stayed longer to really enjoy the place. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. They also have a restaurant within the hotel and we really appreciate Boda (staff in the restaurant) who really took care of our breakfast. He entertained us very well.too bad never got the chance to enjoy their pool. Not enough time for us."

"Just a minor issue! Everywhere we stayed in Iceland, there was no fee for use of hot tub or sauna! I believe this should be included in our stay! Not the case here!"
"We stayed in a second-floor room with a sloped attic-style ceiling. Unfortunately, the bed was positioned directly under the lowest part of the ceiling, which was extremely low. We accidentally hit our heads multiple times during our stay, making the room quite uncomfortable.
The breakfast was okay, but fairly basic. The hotel does provide Wi-Fi, which worked well, however there is no TV in the room. Another downside was that there was no way to regulate the room temperature, which made it difficult to adjust for comfort.
The window coverings were also in poor condition. The drapes appeared worn out, because of Velcro that been attached to the window to help keep them closed, which felt like a temporary fix rather than a proper solution.
Overall, the stay was acceptable, but the room layout and maintenance issues significantly impacted our experience."
"The location was by far the most unique experience we’ve ever had!! And that is what makes it so special. Truly ‘out in nowhere’ and super relaxing! The hot tub felt great after a full day of exploring! Loved it and definitely recommend using it. Everyone we came in contact with were exceedingly kind, helpful and accommodating. It’s a one of a kind type of hotel experience!! Go & enjoy!!"
Fossatún Camping Pods & cottages – Sleeping bag accommodation
8/10 Good
"Sleeping pod was cute - we were three and rented the bed linens. These were clean but old with holes and tears, and we needed to put them on ourselves ( that was fine, we wee just really tired and maybe should’ve stayed in a proper hotel). Only one large towel given. Bed was super comfortable but only a US double, not queen or king and we aren’t that tall but touched both ends easily. Someone 6’ or more would not be comfortable. The showers were a bit gross, kitchen and bathrooms clean and better than usual camping. Breakfast was fantastic! Very hearty. Troll trail, fun house and mini golf could all use tending to. Not the reason we came but would’ve been nice if they were in better shape at the start of the season!"
