We were welcomed very friendly and I almost felt sorry for just wanting to get some rest as the guy at the reception was very eager to tell us everything we should see on the northern part of the island. "Brimslod Atelier Guesthouse was lovely. Our room was on the second floor, with a great view over the water. It was the only spacious room we had during our 10 days in iceland, and it was very comfortable. We had dinner in the onsite restaurant, and it was delicious. We were the only guests for dinner that night, so we had a chance to talk with the owner and ask questions about the area. "This property is probably transitioned from a school, but that does not impact any of the service that you would expect from a hotel. We booked a family room, very spacious. There’s not much going on in the area and it might be the only location you can get a decent sit down meal. By all saying that, food in the restaurant is high quality. I ordered sheep fillet, 5 stars! "

"The property was right on Route 1. There's a restaurant on the first floor and they have really amazing food. There are lots of places to go to, but you’ll have to drive by the mountains which all had mostly paved roads.The room itself is clean. There's a common room for coffee and tea, and a fridge that can be used. The staff were friendly."
