"This place is a bit further out from Pisa, but we still had a really nice stay and made the most of it. It’s great value for money, which was a big plus.
The hotel itself is a little old-fashioned, but honestly, the staff more than made up for it—they were super friendly and welcoming the whole time. The restaurant was also a highlight, with really tasty food that we enjoyed a lot.
It’s a good spot if you’ve got a car and want to explore the nearby villages and surrounding area."

"Conveniently situated between Florence and Siena in the heart of the Chianti region with stunning views. Friendly relaxed hosts who provide a substantial breakfast. Beautiful large swimming pool to cool off at the end of the day."

"A lovely spot for relaxation .The appartments were lovely and comfortable .the only criticism was you do need a car to get any where. It is totally in the middle of nowhere.

"Overall, the hotel was clean with good parking near it. However, sometimes the hot water for taking showers did not work well. Also, the TV inside the hotel is relatively small which I believe it needs to be upgraded. But, if you are planning to visit Italy and not pay much, this is a good choice. It's near Florence (~30 min drive in evenings and ~1hr during the rush hour) with plenty of free parking spots near it. It's placed in a not extremely crowded city (Empoli) which is nice. Rooms where quite and housekeeping did a really good job every day. Another point that I have to mention is their internet. EXTREMELY FAST which is a good thing specially for people who are taking business trips."
"What a lovely stay at a beautiful historic hotel. The grounds are so well kept and peaceful. Dinner was amazing both nights, highly recommend this property. "
"Beautiful well maintained location! Amazing views!
The breakfast buffet was great and so large! Particularly loved the orange juice and cappuccino machines.
The restaurant on site has the same menu for lunch and dinner so pro tip eat lunch at the bar with a different menu if you aren’t going out.
The shuttle only goes to San Gimignano and runs at 10, 11:15, 1:30 and 5:15. We wish there was a 3PM option but taking public transport is cheap and easy. This is an amazing place to stay to visit San G.
The pool area is beautiful but a hot tub would amazing here!
The air conditioning only works at certain times so if staying on property it is off from 8am-2pm and 7-9PM. Rooms can get stuffy during those times but you can open windows/outside doors. The AC is great when it’s on.
Overall very beautiful and relaxing and would recommend!"
"Everything about this hotel and property is amazing. The grounds were built on an original land that was used as a farm so the views of the surroundings are 360° of breathtaking views of tuscany! The property offers multiple amenities including their amazing infinity pool and bottega bar overlooking the amazing sunset eveynight!
The service of the employees of the property was amazing. I truly recommend this property and stay if you are looking to relax and enjoy tuscany at it’s full potential!"
"The property is beautiful, but not even close to half the size of what it looks in pictures and very different. There’s actually nothing much to do except wine tour considering it’s very far from Florence and the cabs are very expensive to go and back. We had to wait more than an hour to get a drink and chips in restaurant as there was nobody there between lunch and dinner hour. So if you get late for lunch, there’s nothing to eat until dinner hours except coffee. It would have been nice for place to have at least some sandwiches or snack to grab between meal hours, considering there are not any restaurants nearby. The place can be a good idea if only you want some quiet time away from city. I do not recommend it if you have children or want to do activities!"
"We had the loveliest stay in Hotel Casolare! From the minute we arrived the staff were warm and welcoming and couldn't be more helpful! We stayed in the Cipresso apartment and it was perfect for the 4 of us staying with a well equipped kitchenette and a lovely patio area to sit out on! All very clean and fresh.
We had a beautiful meal in the restaurant on our first night and breakfasts were lovely with plenty of selection and so fresh! Our favourite part was the bruschetta bar with lots of selection of toppings, all gorgeous!
The pool area was clean and peaceful and we were able to get drinks from the bar to have there during the day.
This was our second time staying here after a stay in 1998 when the hotel was just opened and it had been somewhere we always wanted to come back to!
We will definitely be back again xx"
