The Schloßschenke is a beautiful hotel conveniently in the heart of Idar-Oberstein. There are plenty of shops and restaurants all in within easy walking distance and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant was undergoing renovation but a very nice continental breakfast was included and served in the smaller dining area. Parking is a little bit of an issue as in most cities but the hotel had free parking at a reserved parking area only 300 meters from the hotel. I would stay here again in a heartbeat on my next visit to Idar-Oberstein.

Ligging is goed, ontbijt prima, is pas overgenomen zeer aardige nieuwe eigenaresse, moet nog wel wat aan het pand gebeuren een beetje gedateerd echt Duits.
