"The apartment was very modern and clean. There are some local restaurants and supermarkets and we used the local buses to get around although a car would have been much better"

"Most amazing stay while on my Japan trip. Beautiful rooms and scenery. Property itself is beautiful, yet it is quite far from many attractions in Okinawa. I will definitely come back and stay at this property. "

"One of the few "villa" options on the island of Okinawa. High standards of service even by Japanese standards---with an attentive and quick butler service. Delicious food and villa is great for a quiet vacation."

"Friendly and courteous staff, housekeeping very forthcoming and service-oriented. Room absolutely clean, amenities have been replenished every day. Beach with wonderful water close to the Hotel ; Beach itself clean and in good condition. Hotel facility well maintained with beautiful flowers and palm trees."
"Halekulani Okinawa exceeded every expectation and was easily the most luxurious resort we experienced during our time in Japan. Traveling as a family of four, we chose to splurge on two rooms in the Sunset Beach Tower, and it was absolutely worth it.
The rooms were stunning, thoughtfully designed, and fully equipped with premium amenities. From the stocked minibar and Nespresso machine to the beach bag and sandals you can take home, every detail felt elevated. The inclusion of comfortable pajamas added an extra layer of comfort. Housekeeping was exceptional with daily service and a relaxing evening turndown.
Service across the entire resort was outstanding. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help, creating a welcoming and seamless experience throughout our stay.
Dining was a highlight. We enjoyed dinners at House Without a Key, which offered a perfect casual setting with great seafood, pasta, and salads, and Steak & Wine for a more upscale experience. The quality of food was excellent across the board. Steak & Wine is on the pricier side, but the experience and quality matched the cost. Be sure to book reservations in advance as slots open daily and fill quickly.
We chose to explore local cafés for breakfast, which was a great way to experience the island. The resort is also conveniently located near several excellent dining options.
The gym was well-equipped, and the pool areas were beautiful and relaxing. 5 Stars all the way!!"
"Older hotel, but beautiful. It’s not easy to get to from the airport if you are taking a taxi or limo bus. Takes about 2 hours with traffic. Multiple restaurants, but there is usually long lines for the buffets. Absolutely gorgeous ocean views. Only two out of three elevators were working and we were on the 9th floor, so on average it took between 5-10 minutes of waiting during busy times to get on an elevator. Most times we were crammed in like sardines and stopped at every floor.
Property is walkable and there are hidden little beaches everywhere. You can rent an e-bike and ride around. We rode to the lighthouse and into town. The staff were excellent and the rooms were huge. Only a few restaurants were open in March. I guess more open up over the summer, but finding options were limited. There is a little town square about a 12 minute walk from the hotel that has more dining options. "
"parking was easy. you need a car. i got a Japanese style room but the ac isn't strong enough so you needed a fan and it is a bit dated and musky smelling. "
"Excellent stay. Very friendly staff as most Okinowans are. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Hotel has several restaurants and gift shop options. Breakfast was excellent with about 100 food options to pick from each morning. I recommend the Japanese only breakfast. Beach was gorgeous and right next to the hotel. Parking costs 500 yen per day. Indoor pool was large and clean. There are many other amenities. "
