"Booking at the last minute, we had been braced for Cairn House to be a run-down B&B, but we were pleasantly surprised to find it was a pleasant, comfy, and well-maintained gem. Our bed had one of the comfiest mattresses we've found in a hotel bed, which were apparently in all the rooms. The owners were friendly, and went out of their way to make sure everything was clean and tidy. All in all, absolutely worth a visit."

"Great room with lovely seating area in the middle of Ilfracombe. Carparking handy and cheap. Lots to do and see. Just one problem with the gutter outside the room leaking with heavy rain and very noisy. A part from that, perfect, with Woolacombe bay surfing just 15mins down the road."

"Great very reasonably priced stay at Avoncourt. Came down to Ilfracombe for a few days with an early trip to Lundy planned for one of the days. Helpful staff arranged for us to be able to have a light breakfast before we left. The second day we weren’t in as much of a rush and had an amazing breakfast of shakshuka - fantastic before a long hike on the south west coast path. Would recommend."
