A lovely guest house
A lovely guest house with lovely hosts Sharon and Darryl plus a lovely lady who helped at breakfast. Friendly team and easy going atmosphere. Well situated for the harbour. Breakfast was stunning and overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend it to everyone.

Staff excellent (they learnt everyone's names). Breakfast excellent and good views of the coast. Parking a bit of a challenge (although this is noted when booking). Room was a decent size.

Lovely people very friendly
Great location. Short walk to the town. Very friendly owner who looked after us throughout our stay. Room 2 has a large bed. En suite and a small balcony overlooking the harbour and sea. The breakfast is fantstic. The communal rooms very well appointed.

Lovely
Lovely guesthouse with lovely staff. Room was a bit too small for us, would have suited a single person more, but a nice room with great views nonetheless. Wouldn't book room 3 again as have to use a private toilet down a small set of stairs, first world problem I know but much prefer en-suite, especially early morning. Nice location but you need to be quite fit to climb the steep hill from the harbour and town, was okay for us but would be a challenge for the less mobile. Was no space for parking on road outside for the first couple of days, so had to pay for public parking at the bottom of the steep adjacent road. Was okay but you have to use Ringo if you don't have the change you need as there is no card option, and using Ringo was difficult as we couldn't get the App to work, or the phone number so had to go on their website in the end. It was the same for others parking at the same time.

Some of our rooms do tend to be on the cosy side as the ensuites were added in more recent years. Room 3 is the only one which has the separate loo (and is described as such) but you do get the advantage of a lovely little balcony to sit out on plus a view of the harbour whilst lying in bed, so this tends to make up for that.;) It was exceptionally busy this summer and it is a shame that there were no spaces available for you directly outside of the guest house, which are free of charge with no time limits. Ilfracombe is very hilly and we always smile when people say it is a steep climb from the harbour .. we find it just a gentle incline, but of course people with less mobility might find it a challenge. We do hope that you will choose to come and stay again just contact us direct to check availability and that way you guarantee the best rates too.

Amazing stay
We had the most amazing stay at the Collingdale. The location is ideal, short walk to the harbour, restaurants and pubs. We had the superior room and the seaview was beautiful. The guesthouse was very clean and had a lovely friendly feel to it. We were given a warm welcome, shown to our parking spot and helped with our luggage. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, everything was fresh and service brilliant. Sharon was very helpful before our stay recommending restaurants and when we were there she also recommended places to visit. There are two large reception rooms and a honesty bar which was well stocked and prices are reasonable. Would highly recommend this guesthouse and would 100% come back here if in area.

The guest house was stunning and with equally stunning views to match. Location was good too. The parking was slightly frustrating as if you can’t get a space outside the guesthouse itself (usually about 40 spaces) then you have to park nearby which can be a walk. Sharon and Daryl were absolute stars, food was amazing. Sadly even gave me and my husband a lift to Tunnels Beaches for a wedding when we couldn’t get a taxi. Would defiantly book again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Just had a wonderful stay at the Collingdale with my partner. Great location, 5 min walk to the harbour & town. The breakfast is 5 star & the brilliant local knowledge from Sharon is very useful if you are struggling to find things to do. Overall would definitely recommend.

We found our stay to be amazing. Warm welcome and covid safe, with clear information about breakfast and safety. Our room was fantastic with seaview. Restful night's sleep. Breakfast had a great selection and the full breakfast was so tasteful, loved it.

Lovely guesthouse
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Collingdale Guesthouse. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was perfection! Sharon and all the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Excellent location and beautiful views. We also felt very comfortable in the current situation with hand sanitiser provided and face masks worn in all communal areas. All in all a very pleasant stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

Fantastic Balcony and views from room no 2
My fiancé and I had a fantastic stay at the Collingdale last week. We looked at many Guest Houses before deciding on the Collingdale as it seemed to offer exactly what we wanted and was small and friendly. A great view of Ilfracombe Harbour, close to all of the restaurants and pubs and some great walks. Sharon was excellent at communicating with us before and during our stay and arranged most of our restaurant bookings for us, which was very much appreciated. The bedroom was very clean and cosy and had everything you could need in a B&B. Plenty of tea and coffee making essentials. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the boats coming and going in the harbour. We didn’t have any concerns staying there during the COVID crisis. The Collingdale coped with the new guidelines effectively whilst still making you feel very looked after. The breakfast options offered were top quality. We looked forward to our full cooked breakfast or Haddock and Kippers if we wished. We are always offered cereals, fruit and yoghurt though they weren’t necessary for us as the cooked breakfast was very substantial. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again when we return in the future and will be recommending the Collingdale to our guests when we get married at Tunnels Beaches next year, as it is only a short walk away.

Fab stay, really recommend
We had a great stay at the Collingdale. The location is excellent for Ilfracombe harbour and the town (as long as you're mobile as it is a little hilly). The accommodation was very clean and well kept by the friendly owners who made you feel very welcome. We had a fabulous view from our room (room 9). It was a few flights of stairs but that was ok for us. Free parking was a bonus. Breakfast was excellent - really good choice of continental & hot food, huge croissants and best raspberries I've ever tasted!

Great relaxing holiday
A friendly and welcoming place, always ready with a smile, informing us of places to visit, nothing was to much. Clean timidly and plenty of room to move around comfortably, everything well presented. Parking was at times a little difficult, but Ilfracombe is a beautiful place which was enhanced by the good hospitality at our bed & breakfast.

This guest house is well maintained and has beautiful views over the harbour. The service was polite and all our needs we required were met (quiet retreat from the hassle of home life) Bathroom very small and difficult to manoeuvre in, lack of a bath was a problem by day 5. Lots of stairs in the property mean you need to be physically fit to stay on the top floor as we did.

Pleasant one night stay
A very enjoyable one night stay. The hotel is very clean and the room had a superb view out over the sea. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and suggested places where we could eat. A delicious breakfast was served in the dining room where we also had a view of the sea.

Visit to ilfracombe break
We arrived on sat at around 5.pm and were greeted by Sharon. The welcome was warm and special. The room and bed were very comfortable with lovely sea view. Sharon helped recommending the best Tapas we have ever been to. We had a great evening and scrumptious smoked haddock breakfast. A great hotel and such lovely hosts. 10 out of 10 . Great value

First class B&B
Stayed here with my wife for one night, really nice B&B very nicely decorated throughout. Bedroom was large with ensuite and had tea/ coffee making in the room. Really good location with fantastic views of the harbour, owners were very welcoming and I would highly recommend this B&B.
