"It was a great location, although it’s outside the main stream Dublin it is so easy to get around via bus or train. The apartment was nice and spacious and it was great to have a full size oven with four burner hob. The kitchen/dining/living room combo was great. Having the washer & dryer in suite was great. The bed was quite firm which worked for me but challenged my husband, but that’s all a personal preference. The welcome starter items were fantastic. Coffee, tea, milkers, sugar, laundry pods, foil, paper towel, dish soap, olive oil and I know there’s more I’ve missed."

"For a four-star hotel, the property is beginning to show signs of wear and would benefit from a refurbishment. That said, the staff were friendly, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. My main issue was with the evening meal. I had a prawn salad to start and beef featherblade for the main. Unfortunately, the prawn salad was poor — the prawns were heavily coated in Marie Rose sauce that appeared to have separated. I felt unwell the following day, which I suspect may have been linked, although I cannot say for certain. The featherblade was also disappointing. It was overcooked, very tough, and the gristle had not broken down as expected. After a few bites, I returned the dish and asked for it to be removed from the bill. Given the experience, I chose not to have breakfast the next morning. Overall, while the staff were pleasant, the hotel would benefit from both a refresh of the décor and improvements in food quality and consistency."

"We were lucky to be upgraded on arrival from a king room to an apartment which was really well kitted out to such an extent we cooked our own breakfast. Such a great couple of days and the hotel is in a really good spot "

"Breakfast was ok. Weird that you don’t serve a Bloody Mary before 3pm… it is a brunch accompaniment. Your plumbing is a little off as the shower temperature would not stay consistent though I guess it is older infrastructure. Other than that, it was a good stay and I’ll be back. Great location!"

"If your looking for good clean place to stay and make your own foods I the kitchen this place is excellent lovely staff and the ladies are beautiful ladies and the guys all with different cultures of languages. Spanish Portuguese French Croatian all beautiful women at reception and the managers and the guys also at night very beautiful as I arrived late and spanish speaking member of staff greeted me with the up most pleasure to his approach and yes very helpful . Depending on what room you might get some noise from others in their rooms but it’s sorted by the staff again thanks to all there please book here and yes tell them you good review from me on this website as I said everything so close walk out of the dart station across the road up some steps and your at the place . Shops theatre and bars all close and only not even 30 minutes from Dublin so thumbs up from me ."

"My family and I had the best Easter break at Fitzpatrick's Castle Hotel. Firstly, the family rooms were an excellent size with two large double beds and plenty of space around them for a family of four (two adults, two children). The rooms were beautifully decorated with a coach and a modern bathroom with a large shower.  My family and I ate at the Mapas restaurant twice during our long weekend stay and we could not fault the food - it was absolutely perfect! We had breakfast here both mornings and there was a great selection with friendly staff to assist. The fact that the restaurant and the bar area are adjoined works really well from an entertainment perspective. The live music on the first night of our stay was great and the singers really interacted with the kids which made it a really special.  On Easter Sunday they had an Easter egg hunt organised for the children which was absolutely fantastic, they also had a special visit from the Easter bunny who delivered Easter eggs to all of the children involved.  This is a great hotel for families - the pool was amazing for the kids as well as Killiney park which is right next door. The best thing about our stay was Sue. We had two small children and she was so attentive with them, so attentive that they didn't want to leave her!! We are very grateful for her hospitality and she definitely made the Easter break a really special one for our 4-year-old twins!! This was our first time staying at Fitzpatrick's Castle Hotel and it'"
