"Great view of the harbor. Little restaurant had good food and waitress was great! Lively bar scene. Balcony was kinda dirty (seagull droppings) beds were a little too firm for our taste so not a restful sleep. Bathroom was super small/cramped. Staff was very friendly and we liked the underground parking which they waived the $24 fee because we’re handicapped"
"We had an amazing time at the Sofia hotel! It was the perfect location for my husband to attend his conference at the Convention Center, and for the kids and I to explore San Diego. The bus to the zoo and museums picks up and drops off right in front of the hotel. There are great food options on every corner. The hotel itself was clean and quiet. The Kind Suite was spacious enough for the four of us to spread out. It was also nice to have our own fridge and microwave. The staff was very friendly and responsive, from bringing extra bedding for the pull-out sofa, to allowing us to check our bags until we flew out at 6 pm. We'd highly recommend this hotel for families or anyone looking for a city experience in San Diego!"
"Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We were in the large block of hotel rooms on the 6th floor. The room was very clean, but the toilet, while it flushed, made a very loud noise. It took 3 trips to the reception desk (one per day) to get it taken care of. (I did learn there was a new system, so that might have been an issue.) They comped our resort fees because of the trouble, which I thought was excellent. I didn't have to ask for that, so that was also a bonus. The food on-site is delicious, the pool was clean, minus one hot tub, and the service was a little on the slow side, but maybe that's the California pace. All our servers were very nice. I will say, it says on the resort amenities that there are beach chairs and umbrellas, but these were not out in the bay area."
"Had a great stay at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, Gaslamp District! I’ve stayed at many of the area hotels, but Hard Rock was amazing.. the staff were very polite and accommodating. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well appointed. I look forward to coming back soon!"
"the place was perfect location, the room key issue and opening the door very slowly was the only issue
We had to be shown how to open the room a certain way."
