"The room was not as described or pictured. Nothing deluxe about it. The bed board was old and worn off. It appeared the staff downgraded my room. Hotel in general is getting old and needs upgrades and renovation.

"We’re cyclists from Australia and have been travelling around the world on our bikes for 5 years. We received a wonderful welcome by the staff and everyone couldn’t do enough for us. The room was comfortable, the hotel itself had a great feel about it making us feel at home. The gym and spa were fantastic. The food was superb and so were all the wait staff. Everyone was super attentive to all our needs. Highly recommend this hotel and in such a great location too. "
"Spacious, very clean, well maintained frequently serviced rooms with modern good quality furnishings, and amenities including a/c, fridge, hot water. Breakfast is included, excellent variety. Very polite and helpful staff, nothing was a big ask. Only downside was the noise of traffic on Park Street which was really the sounds of Kolkata life."
"The hotel was wonderful. I was a solo traveler and felt very safe here. The concierge Amit seemed to be looking out for me. He was very helpful in everyway. I was able to walk to India Museum from this hotel as well as Saint John's Church for the Black hole of Kolkata memorial. The breakfast in the morning was very nice, although the staff did seem to have a hard time keeping everything fully stocked. I would definitely stay again."
"For the price I was not expecting much. I just need aircon, and a comfy bed. I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The food in the restaurant was good, the service friendly. Really good aircon, good plumbing (a rarity in India?), and the most comfortable bed I had in India. I would definitely return to this hotel. "
