"One of a kind architectural gem. Not for everybody ,but i will always remember the fabulous architectural achievement of Jose Luis Ezquerra .it's not slick but tries its best to be so. I've travelled to 102 countries . Meals are not 5 star European standard. But your in Mexico. Why should they be haut cuisine.There is a marina with good dining choices literally attached to the resort. The golf course is expensive relative to its slope score so i did not play this time. 25 minutes walk away is a Walmart Modern Mexico. Will probably return. Manuel is a top class hotel Manager."

"Great pool area, the staff were hardworking, dedicated and friendly, room was quiet and very clean, beds were comfortable, lovely restaurant on site by the pool offering a delicious hot breakfast (which was included in our package) and breakfast buffet on weekends. Live music jam Mondays at the pool and occasional live dinner music. Good location by the marina and an easy, 10 min walk into Barra shopping district and beach. The hotel needs a little TLC but overall we were very happy with our stay and definitely recommend it and will definitely be back. "

"I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last 5 years. I have stayed in the hotel marina too many times to count since 2012. It has always been a warm, relaxing experience. The inclusive breakfast is easy ( they offer a beautiful buffet with fruits, omelets and egg cooked to order and many Mexican specialties when the hotel has higher occupancy. When occupancy drops the same foods are offered on the menu or by asking. Their green juice smoothie is fantastic! We have only done dinner at the hotel once. Our preference is to dine in town which is easily accessed by water taxis from the hotel dock. Our last stay was during the cartel troubles during February 2026. The hotel placed printed information at our room with the services changes and recommended “ shelter in” plan for guests. They were reminding visitors to make sure to have plenty of bottled water in the room and to dine or request any staff services before a specified evening hour. Many of the staff could not travel home after their shift, so sheltered in at the hotel, some overnight. The staff that had knowledge of what was happening on the roads and communities around us reported their sightings. The services during the “shelter in place” were minimally affected by having to use paper napkins instead of linen, some fresh food items had run low as delivery of fresh produce and laundry room staff could not get into work. I felt well informed, safe and thankful for so many staff members and their dedication. "

"We stayed at an ocean view room and was clean amazing view. Hotel location is perfect walking distance to Malecón. On the downs side we wanted to extend our stay but ocean view rooms were booked they offered a room that was not remodeled with view to the town. We decided to take a loook first room had a funny smell we decided not to stay. Seems like those rooms are not remodel like the ocean front. Other that that hotel is great. Staff very attentive and helpful. "
