"Although this is priced at a high end resort, there is nothing high end about it. Needs a lot of updating. Our room was very much in need of some deep cleaning and updating. We stayed on the 5th floor which smelled of pot the whole stay. Housekeeping was ok but very inconsistent. There is absolutely no beach to go swimming and the water was littered very badly. This is a $150 a night room all day! NOT $450! We took the shuttle a couple times as we were there for a wedding and the driver was not friendly at all. We did have a wonderful bartender inside tho! All in all.. A good trip because it was for a wedding just wouldn’t recommend Amara for the price point. Stay at the other sister resort down the road. Cheaper and more to offer!"

"We had a wonderful stay! The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The hotel amenities were excellent and really added to the overall experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others."

"I personally did not have a very good experience staying at this hotel. I called multiple times to ask questions about my check-in and didn’t get answered once. When I arrived in person to the lobby, I had to wait almost 20 minutes to get attended because the receptionist was sitting in her car while there was two people waiting in line. Then on top of that, the room was very dirty, the edges of the bathroom were filthy, and there were crumbs in the AC, as if someone had been eating there. The smell of the room was very strong, as if people had been smoking cigarettes in it. I usually never complain, but to have paid so much money and received what I did, I am not happy with this experience. The pictures online are not what it really is, I felt scammed. If someone had at least answered the phone once I wouldn’t be writing this review, but it was one thing on top of the other. I hope you guys use this feedback as a way to make others experience here better."
