"This hotel was perfectly located for our visit to the Historic Dockyard, Gunwharf Quay shopping and Portsmouth and Southsea train station. We stayed here for 3 nights with our 6 year old grandson. The room was ok, with the sofa bed down (our grandson used it) as a bed the room was cramped but we were only using the room to sleep so it was ok. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great time in the dockyard and would definitely consider this hotel...

"Convenient location apart from being on a steep hill. However all the bus trips we made stopped at the top of the hill. Nicely decorated and comfortable bed. Ate evening meal on three occasions, which were all good quality and value, but menu limited. All in all, the stay was good value for a budget hotel"

"Easy to get to, nice room, lovely bathroom, good car park. Lovely breakfast, only issue our name wasn't on the breakfast list and we were questioned by a staff member, she did let us start eating etc and the later confirmed we were on the list, she had an out of date list, this did make us feel uncomfortable and worried about our booking as we knew we had booked the breakfast. Everything else was fine and the man behind the desk was nice and polite. We stayed in this hotel a few years ago and it was the same."
