"Next to a Days Inn and industrial on the other sides. A couple of miles away to gas, groceries and food but not too bad. Very clean moderately priced rooms were very nice and new. Couldn’t hear the 99 or the road."
"It's a nice and quaint hotel. Has everything but low key. The staff are amazing, especially Hope. With a name like Hope you know you'll get excellent service and good vibes. I've been at the hotel 3 times this year and she's always working! Even at 3am! She must have a clone! Thank you management for an awesome staff member! Don't take Hope granted, literally!"
"The landscaping has never been more beautiful! I have been enjoying getaways to Wine and Roses for years now. I love this little enclave and especially evenings in the bar listening to Kim on the piano. It’s been a few years and we were so flattered that she remembered us. I will say for the first time ever we were disappointed with the dining experience. We did choose to dine in the bar, and I think the Bartender has something to do with the experience. Our appetizer was completely overcooked. It took a while to arrive, so I suspect it sat under a heat lamp for some time. The fries (hard to screw those up)were cold and flavorless.Timing was off, dishes average at best. Need to mention that while the rooms appear to be maintained, ours was completely void of personality. We could have been anywhere- Des Moines, or Burbank for that matter. There was not one piece of artwork anywhere. The furniture was misaligned and while it was a very spacious room, it was in desperate need of personality. A plant or other organic touch would go a long way. Gone is the welcome wine and complementary nibbles. When we left the property, I stopped by the reception because I wanted to share some feedback and the woman at the front desk never looked up once. The whole experience was surprisingly impersonal, unlike any previous stay. Since becoming Appellation it’s really lost its charm. That’s sad, I love Rudy and his best man ( the two very entertaining parrots) and the pre check- in pool access"
"A nice secure place. Access to the office without having to go outside the security gate would be nice. A few minor maintenance issues, otherwise a gem."
