Residencia du Basco

Residencia du Basco
4.0 star property
Basco
7.4 out of 10, Good, (13 reviews)
"The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are nice as is the pool. The building is not complete. The upstairs bar was not available. The menu is tiny and the food portions tiny. It is chronically understaffed. The breakfast was poor. We would not eat dinner there and bought more breakfast elsewhere. Coffee was rubbish. The wifi was hopeless to connect. Every day go to the office for a new code. Sometimes twice a day. No mention of cash only till departure checkout! No warning at all! Only one...

"Off the beaten path, but the beach views here are second to none. It's quiet, there's a shuttle into town and any store or restaurant will jail you anytime back to the hotel. Breakfast is good, staff friendly and nice. 10/10 would recommend. Will be back again!"

"Staff and accomodations excellent. Near restaurants and convenience stores. Walkable to airport but property has own shuttle service to pick and drop guests to and from airport. Will recommend. Special mention to Chris and Russell who made our stay despite the bad weather relaxing and worth the stay."

9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (5 reviews)
"This was a simple inexpensive hotel in the downtown area of Basco which made it very convenient to walking around and various dining places. The hosts were marvelous, with pick up and drop off to the airport. On a few occasions when it was raining, the owner, Bert Baletin, dropped us at a Restuarant and came and picked us later. The place was super clean and had a roof top that made great sightseeing for evening sunsets. "

Learn more about Itbayat Island

Hike along dramatic limestone cliffs on this remote island where locals welcome visitors with traditional Ivatan stone houses. Rent a bicycle to explore ancient burial caves, pristine beaches, and the historic Radiwan settlement where fishermen share stories of the sea.

Uninhabited and totally raw. This is Siayan or Ditarem (in the local dialect) Island. It is the nearest island to Mavulis - the Philippines' northernmost tip. Coordination with the local tourism and coastguard is an absolute must if one intends to travel to these extremely remote places. #LocalSecrets #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines #Adventure
