Stavros was an exceptional, genuinely helpful host who went above and beyond at all times to ensure we had the best holiday. Location-wise, it’s ideal—we easily drove to Assos and Fiskardo in around 40 minutes. The drive from the airport is straightforward, but a hire car is essential for exploring. "The accommodation was right on the picturesque harbour front and a 2 minute walk away from the port. We only stayed overnight as we were travelling on to Lefkada the following day but everything was perfect. Nice restful night's sleep after the journey from Yorkshire. The hosts provided excellent communication. We would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay for a longer stay. Thank you!"

"Astir was literally across the street from the ocean. I did not have a full ocean view from my room, but I could see it from my balcony on the side of the building. It was a single room, so the bathroom was small, but the bed was comfortable. It was a lovely room for the price. The staff were very nice and friendly. There was a bar open in the afternoon/evening with a wonderful view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again. "

"★★★★★ We had a great stay at Kefalonia Grand Hotel and would definitely come back! The location was perfect, right in the centre with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast had a great variety, with all coffees included, as well as fresh eggs and pancakes made to order from the kitchen, which was a lovely touch. The room itself was on the smaller side, but it was very clean and the daily housekeeping was excellent. Everything was kept fresh and tidy throughout our stay. There is street parking available, which we found quite easy to get during the day, although I imagine it could become more difficult later in the evening. Having a car is also useful for exploring Kefalonia, as some of the beautiful beaches do require a drive, which is pretty standard for the Greek islands. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The location, friendly staff, cleanliness and breakfast made it a great experience, and we would happily stay here again. Definitely recommend!"

Porto Galini Seaside Resort & Spa

"The best thing about this property was the private, fine-pebble beach. The sea is beautiful here, and there are plenty of loungers. Our room was fairly basic, but very clean with good AC and the staff were great. Breakfast was very good too but there are only two coffee machines for all the guests so there was always a wait. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel does not allow outside guests onto the property at all - not even to dine - and this is enforced by a guard at the gate. You will also want a car or be prepared to use taxis, as there is not much within walking distance."

"We had a great stay at Perantzada Hotel. The location is perfect, with everything within easy walking distance, making it a really good base for exploring Ithaca. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Caterina (sorry if I’ve spelt your name wrong) and the rest of the team were fantastic. They were really warm and welcoming, and always happy to help without being over the top. Their local tips were brilliant, and they gave us great recommendations for places to visit, restaurants and things to do, which made the whole trip feel really easy and well looked after. The hotel itself is lovely and well kept, with a relaxed vibe that made it easy to switch off. We’d definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Ithaca."
