Top Jachenau Hotel Reviews

Hotel Schwarzer Adler

Hotel Schwarzer Adler

8/10 Good
"The staff were, without exception, lovely. Friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was comfortable and location for both old town and train stations (15mins with luggage). Breakfast was great, with a good range of food. What stood out was the quality of the food. The main negative is there is no bar or restaurant. How it can be a 4 star hotel without these basics is something I don’t understand. I think it’s disingenuous to show pictures of a bar and say it opens at 5pm when it doesn’t open at all. There are notices saying to ask staff but all that is available is half bottles of wine or beer. We were directed to the Irish bar next door which had neither Port or Brandy so no late night nightcap. The rooms don’t have tea/ coffee facilities either so basically you cannot eat or drink at the hotel after breakfast. Would I stay again? Yes. It was lovely as a glorified bed and breakfast in a good location, just don’t expect the facilities of a hotel."

"Fabulous hotel! Great breakfast, super helpful staff, wonderful spa and if you pay extra for a room with a view it is lovely to sit and admire the Zugspitze panorama. Bus stop right outside with free buses if you use the free tourist pass. Ask Rita or Andreas to help you! Highly recommended"

"Lovely historical hotel, The room is missing a refrigerator, which is odd as you cannot keep anything cold if needed like medication . Also , the bathroom door is a sliding glass door that doesn’t offer enough privacy for when using the toilet, that was bothersome."
